"Yellow Ribbon"
After a 3 year run with The Wild Rose Press, the award-winning short story
Yellow Ribbon is coming "home!"  New cover, new price - and every purchase
will generate funds for the USO!  Look for Kindle and Nook launch dates in
SPRING of 2011!
Lynn's fiancé was due home from Vietnam on
October 5, 1973, but his chopper went down on
October 1, and she never saw him again. She's gone
on with her life, and she's carried a yellow ribbon
for 30 years.
Now, when there's little else to hold onto, can she
lay her ribbon down?
Excerpt from "Yellow Ribbon"

Before this generation was born, I was tying
scraps of yellow to every tree, flag pole and sign
post in Ocean County.  I was nineteen.  I was a
crusader.  I was in love.
Two wars later, I was one of the few on the block
to understand why the yellow ribbons were
important.  I attached them to the flagpole line
just below the MIA flag.  I tied them around the
lamppost.  I tied them to the giant maples
shading the front walk.  And I pinned a new one
to my purse strap.
Hell, thirty years had passed since Vince was
officially listed as MIA.  But I still wore a
ribbon.  Unlike dreams, some habits live on.
